I was slopping mud stuff out of a ditch and two guys were fighting about the most efficient way to move it. One of the men was from Vegas where he used to mud slop until the government got a wind of his illegal and environmentally unfriendly ways of doing so. We were getting the mud slop out of the little stream by using a flapper on a handle like the flappers used in controlled burns. I just picked up a little of the slop at a time but didn’t damage the stream floor. The guy from Vegas convinced my boss man that this way takes way too long and there is much more slop we could be getting with less work. My boss said but then it wont grow more slow and the Vegas guy said who cares. Next I cut the bottom of the stream floor with a box cutter and started pulling it up. It came up how I imagine sod would, but this was a rubber texture. I felt bad knowing it was not environmentally friendly but had to do what my boss wanted me to do.

i would take any job right now, even slopping mud.
